Never Choose "Byrd Photograhpy" in Greenville SC

This my sound funny but this is my first time blogging so here goes. This blog is to warn all individuals, couples, companies or anyone not to use Byrd Photography which is located in Greenville SC. This company or rather the owner of this company is very unprofessional. I am a very civilized individual who never speaks negative towards anyone but this situation has crossed the line. My fiance and I are getting married on Sept, 19 (this weekend) and decided to confirm with all the contracted help to make sure everything was correct. Byrd Photography being the avenue of photography for this event, was called to confirm the arrangement for payment in the amount of $1000.00 to settle the balance $2500.00. Mr. Byrd for some odd reason got amnesia of the meeting and conversation that took place between him and my fiance about the payment arrangement. But wait this isn't the 1st time he has forgotten about an agreement that was made concerning this event. The Bridal Portraits were to have a price of $**.00 (notice the number of asterisks I've put) HINT HINT, he claimed that this wasn't true, but when my father in law confronted him about it he suddenly remembered. Our package was $2500.00 of which 1500.00 was paid. The agreement was to have payments on the remaining $1000.00. Whether is was 2 payments of $500.00 or 4 payments of $250.00 or 1 payment of $1000.00, it didn't matter. He didn't want anything except his $1000.00 upfront. Remember this is 3 days before the wedding. In conclusion my mother-in-law agreed to pay him the $1000.00 by major credit card. That wasn't an option either. I was told i could drop down in package choice and choose a less expensive one. Since i was getting stiffed, i chose the lesser of the four which was $575.00. Minus the $250.00 deposit, plus 35% kept for defaulting on the contract. It was told to me by (Mr. CEO) Mr. Byrd himself that i couldn't pick the lowest package. That he decided what package i could pick and that one was the highest of the four for $1500.00. To all in the surrounding Carolina's please do not hire Byrd Photography for any work. There are too too many excellent photographers out there who need the business right now. You don't need to be putting up with someone jerking you around to get money out of you. Times are too hard.
